Re-opening of Goodman House Celebrated by Critics
With its eight-month, $17 million renovation project finished on schedule and on budget, Kaufman Center lit up 67th Street last winter, as friends and critics both toasted a New York City cultural landmark.
The New York Times applauded the new look as “Something New for Both Ear and Eye,” while The New York Sun called it: “a Modernist Revival.” Before show time, guests mingled in the spacious new Merkin Concert Hall lobby. Praised as “...a bang-up start to Merkin’s new lease on life” by The Wall Street Journal, the evening’s entertainment was enjoyed by all.
