Americans Working and Dreaming
Night & Day/USA examines Americans at work--or looking for work—and delves into our dreams, contrasting our labors in the real world with our inner lives and fantasies. We also look at the American Dream itself: the promise of our nation and the way we imagine its greatest possibilities. Featuring songs by American composers Berlin, Blitzstein, Weill, Bowles, Rorem, Gordon and more, performed by soprano Sari Gruber, mezzo-soprano Liza Forrester, baritone James Martin, with pianists Steven Blier and Michael Barrett.
