Lingua Appalachia: An Evening of Strings

Get ready for a fiddle fest. Violinist and composer Mark O’Connor has synthesized classical and folk idioms to create a new kind of American music. At Merkin an all-star team—Ida Kavafian, Paul Neubauer and Matt Haimovitz—joins O’Connor for his two string quartets and other chamber selections.
