Heartbeats of the World: An Evening with Steve Ross

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 8:00 pm

Steve Ross, “the Crown Prince of New York cabaret” (Stephen Holden, The New York Times), and foremost interpreter of the music of Cole Porter, Noel Coward and Stephen Sondheim, has performed at leading cabaret and concert venues throughout the world, including the Oak Room at the Hotel Algonquin, Café Carlyle, the Stanhope Hotel, Lincoln Center and the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art. Steve has graciously volunteered to do a benefit performance for the not-for-profit charity, Heartbeats of the World, at which he will perform songs which he says, “have rung true to me as exemplars of our sophisticated and romantic musical heritage.” Purchase your tickets online or at the box office at 212-501-3330. If you wish to purchase patron tickets and attend the reception, call 212-506-1718.

The mission of Heartbeats of the World is to enrich the lives of women, adolescents and children in underserved areas of the world by providing medical resources and educational opportunities addressing the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, teen pregnancy and unemployment.
