Ensemble 212 2nd Annual Gala Concert
Saturday, June 12, 2010 8:30 pm

Ensemble 212 performs its 2nd Annual Gala Concert featuring instrumental and operatic masterpieces. 10-year-old violist Haesue Sarah Lee makes her New York debut on the Hoffmeister Viola Concerto. Ta'u Pupu'a and Lara Michole Tillotson join forces in Act I of Puccini's La Boheme. The orchestra will perform Schumann's rarely heard overture to "Scenes from Goethe's Faust" in commemoration of the composer's 200th anniversary and Beethoven's popular Symphony No. 8. A silent auction featuring unique artwork and luxury items will also be held in the lobby as a fundraiser.
