Ensemble 212 Duologues: Beethoven & Fairouz

New York's celebrated Ensemble 212, under the direction of Yoon Jae Lee, will open it's 2010-11 season with an orchestral concert featuring works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Mohammed Fairouz, one of the most sought out young composers today. The concert features the World Premiere of Fairouz's Double Concerto "States of Fantasy," which was commissioned by Ensemble 212 and written especially for violinist Nicholas Kitchen and cellist Yeesun Kim of the Borromeo Quartet. The Double Concerto is based on Jacqueline Rose's monumental book "States of Fantasy". Fairouz's Second Symphony will be receiving it's New York premiere.
