“Al-Ala,” meaning “instrumental,” refers to the secular traditions in Andalusian music of Morocco. Orchestra of Tangier, led by the legendary master Ahmed Zaitourni, returns to the USA after the hugely successful tour in 2007. This concert marks the first performance of a complete Mizan (movement) from a Nawbat (vocal and instrumental suite) in the USA.
