Composer/pianist Sunny Knable gives CD Release Concert of “American Variations” on Centaur Records. Performers include esteemed pianist Richard Cionco, praised by Donal Henahan of the New York Times for his "sensitive pianism"; Dynamic Motion String Quartet; and others. Knable’s unique blend of Americana and post-modern eclecticism has won him numerous awards and adored performances worldwide. Fans of Copland, Bernstein, or Gershwin would not leave disappointed, nor would the more modern crowd, whose sensibilities are accustomed to composers like John Corigliano, Frederick Rzewski and Jennifer Higdon. Come join him for this evening of tuneful and vital new classical music.
