Rebekah Griffin Greene, Double Bass

Rebekah Griffin Greene is a bassist, composer, pianist and cellist with degrees in bass performance, composition and music education from the University of Southern California. Currently pursuing her DMA in bass performance at SUNY Stony Brook with Kurt Muroki, she has also studied bass with Paul Ellison, Nico Abondolo, and Joseph Carver, as well as composition with Morten Lauridsen, Frank Ticheli, and Thea Musgrave. She has performed solo and chamber music recitals in Hong Kong, Quebec, New York City, and Los Angeles, among other places. She is a winner of the 1995 Alice Nelson Music Competition.
